DIHFS May Updates

In the best interest of serving and protecting our patients, staff, and community, DIHFS will continue providing care telephonically.

Patient Care

  • Provider visits are done over the phone
  • Call our front desk at 303-953-6600 to schedule
  • The Dental Clinic is not seeing patients at this time, call 303-953-6601 to get information on referral sites
  • To schedule a telephonic session with our Behavioral Health Program, call our BH mobile phone number at 720-607-1576. If you're needing immediate assistance, contact the Colorado Crisis Services at 1-800-493-TALK (8255) or text TALK to 38255

Medications

If you use an outside pharmacy (like King Soopers, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.) and you need refills, contact your pharmacy directly and they will let us know if more refills need to be authorized.

If you get your medications from the pharmacy at DIHFS, call us at 303-953-6610 to arrange for the following:
  • Curbside pick-up for patients picking up medications at DIHFS
  • Medications that do not require special handling can be mailed directly to patients
  • Refill requests for medications to treat chronic conditions (like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma/COPD, depression, etc.) will be filled for 90 days when possible
  • All pharmacy visits for drug therapy will be done over the phone

COVID-19 Testing

Our drive-up COVID-19 testing will begin on Tuesday, May 12th, by appointment only. The testing is offered to DIHFS patients and the following criteria must apply:
  • Patients must be eligible for DIHFS services by being a registered patient of the clinic
  • Patients must be screened by a DIHFS provider for a testing order that will be given to the clinical team
  • There is no cost for the testing

Continue taking steps for protect yourself

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol when soap and water are not available
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid crowded places and large gatherings
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily - this includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter-tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks

Continue taking steps to protect our community

  • Practice social distancing
    • Keep 6 feet or more distance between yourself and others
  • Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose when you have to go out in public
    • Your mask protects others and their mask protects you
  • Stay home if you feel unwell, even with mild symptoms, until you recover
