Welcome to the Coach's Corner!
At Denver Indian Health and Family Services, we provide traditional and contemporary fitness training. All healthy lifestyle coaching is provided by Sarah Maestas, Certified Personal Trainer and Healthy Lifestyle Coach. The main goal of the healthy lifestyle coaching program at DIHFS is to help everyone feel confident during physical activity and to get our community moving. We offer a variety of different fitness training including, traditional movement through workshops as apart of our Spirit Within Project, small group fitness training, one-on-one personal training, circuit training, balance training, and more. Our Healthy Lifestyle Coach also provides a 6-week program to help you better incorporate physical activity into your daily routine.
Body Composition Testing
We offer free body composition screening using the Tanita Body Composition Analyzer. Through this testing we obtain weight, body fat percentage, total body water, fat free mass percentage, and body mass index or BMI (weight for height).
We offer a series of assessments that measure flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and balance. Fitness assessments help determine a baseline, identify strengths and weaknesses and determine physical fitness levels.
