 Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions patients have about our pharmacy services.

  • No. We are not a fully funded IHS facility and we must buy the medications that we stock in the clinic therefore we do charge for medications. We are elegible to participate in a federal program that helps us buy medications at a lower cost and we strive to pass that savings on to our patients.

  • Yes, we take some insurance and are adding to the list frequently. If we don't take your insurance let us know and we will try to work with your company.

  • Patients at our clinic can pay out pocket for medications and we keep the prices low to help patients afford the medications they need.

  • It depends on the medication as well as how much you are getting. Please ask to speak with someone from the pharmacy and we can give you an estimate of what costs would be.

  • The rules of the program that we buy our medications through say we can only fill prescriptions for patients of our clinic. This means you must have had an eligible encounter at the clinic before we can provide any medications.

Community Partnerships

Our pharmacy clinic and ambulatory services exist in partnership with Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, through the University of Colorado on Anschutz Medical Campus. This program would not be possible without dedicated pharmacy clinicians including fourth-year pharmacy students and pharmacy residents. Our pharmacy clinicians work closely with providers to ensure access to the latest treatment guidelines.
