    Urgent dental services are available by appointment or by telehealth for established dental patients only.

    We are working on expanding our dental team, but we do have a wait list. Please call to get on our schedule as soon as possible.

    We can refer to other providers as necessary.

  • There is a fee for dental services for all patients. The amount charged will be dependent on tribal enrollment status and insurance coverage. Costs for tribally-enrolled patients are shown above. If you are not tribally enrolled, we can apply a sliding fee scale to adjust service pricing based on your income and family size. Additionally, there is some funding available for elders, so please ask our team. 

    Please be sure to bring proof of income such as tax return, W-2, pay stubs, or social security determination. 

    Please bring a copy of your medical and dental insurance cards so we can reduce your visit costs.

  • We see patients of all ages, however a parent or guardian must be present during treatment of minors. Anyone that is not a parent must provide legal documentation regarding custody, guardianship, or foster care.

  • We are not accepting walk-ins at this time.

  • We want to ensure you have a safe dental visit. Blood pressure and other health-related screenings help us ensure we can safely provide services and connect you with other care as needed.

  • An annual dental exam including x-rays is required to begin the process of denture fabrication.

  • Feel free to bring headphones and listen to music, or bring an object like a weighted blanket or stuffed animal, etc. that provides comfort. Please ensure that the item would not interfere with treatment.

    Smudging is available to help you establish internal balance before your treatment begins.

  • Translation services can be provided. Please contact us before your appointment so we can provide the best service for you.


DIHFS No-Show Policy

Denver Indian Health and Family Services is proud to be able to provide basic Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services to our community. There is a great need for these services. Clinic services are valuable to our community and can be costly.

We, at Denver Indian Health and Family Services, understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment and that there are emergencies. However, when patients do not notify our office prior to missing the appointment it affects both the community and the clinic. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as soon as possible (with at least a 24-hour notice). You can cancel appointments by calling the following number: 303-953-6600.

To ensure that each patient is given the proper amount of time allotted for their visit and to provide the highest quality care, it is very important for each scheduled patient to attend their visit on time. As a courtesy, an appointment reminder call to you is made/attempted one (1) business day prior to your scheduled appointment. However, it is the responsibility of the patient to arrive for their appointment on time and if your phone number changes to call DIHFS to update new phone number.

CLINIC POLICY:

Only two “No Shows” per 6 months will be allowed for services at DIHFS.

  • All clients are requested to sign the No Show policy at the time of registration.
  • 1st No Show: Patients account is noted of first “No Show."
  • 2nd No Show: Patients account is noted of second “No Show” and restricted from scheduling future appointments.

If you are more than 10 Minutes late for your appointment, you will be considered as a No Show and you will need to reschedule your appointment.
