Obtaining Utility Assitance

The Enrollment Specialist also assists clients with obtaining utility assistance through Energy Outreach of Colorado funding. Funds are disbursed on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available by appointment only. Funding is limited. Clients are eligible for assistance once per year, and must meet the following criteria:

• Client must be enrolled with a Federally-recognized tribe

• Client must have their most recent Xcel energy bill

• Client’s name must be on the bill

• Client must have a Colorado state ID or drivers license.

However, during the months of November 1, 2009- April 30, 2010 clients will have to apply for LEAP before requesting funds from EOC.
