Counseling

Mental Health
Mental health services available for adult populations include, but are not limited to, screening and individual therapy. The goal of treatment is cultrally sensitive support services for emotional, marital, and family issues. This program is not designed for seriously mentally ill or emotionally disturbed populations due to the unavailability of psychiatric follow-up. All mental health services are strictly confidential and are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Substance Abuse

Substance abuse treatment options include both inpatient and outpatient services. The goal of treatment is recovery from the abuse of drugs and alcohol and maintenance of a sober and productive lifestyle.

The Inpatient program coordinates admission to inpatient treatment through Arapahoe House and The Harmony Foundation.  These services are available for adults, adolescents, and women with small children. Inpatient services include assessment, placement, case management, and aftercare therapy.

The Outpatient program includes individual counseling, assessment, and relapse prevention for adult populations. Antabuse therapy (excluding UA's) is available where appropriate (fees may apply for the physical).

All substance abuse services are strictly confidential, provided by CAC members and are ADAD licensed.

Youth Prevention
Youth prevention offers a summer program as well as school-based educational support groups for American Indian youth at selected middle schools. Groups focus on preventing substance abuse through self-esteem and cultural pride. Special events and outdoor activities incorporate American Indian/Native American pride. Individual youth counseling may be arranged.
