Mental Health
Mental health services available for adult and adolescent populations include individual therapy, screening, and referral.
Treatment is culturally sensitive and provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Master’s level Transpersonal Counselor.
This program is not designed for seriously mentally ill or emotionally disturbed populations due to the current unavailability of psychiatric follow-up. All services are strictly confidential.
Substance Abuse
State-licensed (ADAD) substance abuse treatment options include both inpatient and outpatient services for adults and adolescents. The goal of treatment is recovery from the abuse of alcohol and drugs and the maintenance of a sober, healthy and productive lifestyle.
The Inpatient program coordinates admission to inpatient treatment through Arapahoe House and The Harmony Foundation. These services are available for adults, adolescents and women with small children. Inpatient services include assessment, placement, case management and aftercare therapy.
The Outpatient program includes individual counseling, assessment and relapse prevention education. Medication is available where appropriate (fees may apply). DIHFS does not provide monitored UAs, BAs or DUI education classes. All substance abuse services are strictly confidential, and are provided by State-Certified Addiction Counselors.
Victims Services
Victims services address the physical, emotional, financial and psychological needs of the American Indian adult and child victim/survivor of crime. These services include, but are not limited to, counseling, case management, advocacy, transportation, emergency shelter, and information/referral. Victims services are funded through VOCA (Victims Of Crime Act).
